Statement from Dan Lederman, Chairman of the South Dakota Republican Party regarding the Democrat Party financial issues
South Dakota Republican Party Chairman Dan Lederman issued the following statement regarding the Democrat Party’s conduct and financial issues:
“This morning, South Dakota Democrat party Chairwoman Paula Hawks announced that they have “have recently uncovered numerous issues with SDDP finances,” and that the party is shuttering their offices in Rapid City and Sioux Falls, as well as starting to cancel events.
I’m not sure why these issues come as a shock to the Democrat party, as current state Democrat treasurer Bill Nibbelink has been in charge of signing the reports on their financial condition as he has since the year 2000.
Chairwoman Hawks is doing her best to try to shift the blame for her party’s finances and misreporting to the Federal Elections Commission, but maybe she should have spoken to her own leadership team first.”
