Dan Lederman has served as Union County GOP Chairman since 2005. His public service roles have included County Commissioner, State Representative and State Senator. He lives in Dakota Dunes and is the father of three children.
Linda moved back to South Dakota in 2001 after a 26 year career in manufacturing, engineering and construction management. She is a graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. She is serving her second term as a Meade County Commissioner and sells real estate. She has been the Meade County Republican Chair and the Meade County Republican Women's Chair. She has been a State Committee Woman from Meade County for the last 8 years. Linda is married to Scott. They live on a small acreage and have horses.
A lifelong South Dakotan, Ried Holien is a writer and businessman in Watertown. In 2010, he was elected to the State Senate from his hometown and served in that capacity for six years. In 2016, Holien became the National Committeeman representing South Dakota to the Republican National Committee. He is married (Tonya) with four children.
Sandye Kading was elected as the National Committeewoman from South Dakota in June 2012. She is a strong supporter of the Pro-Life movement and was a peer counselor at the Crisis Pregnancy Center and received training in Abortion Recovery Assistance. Her political activities include serving as the Precinct Captain, Legislative Director, Secretary, County Chairman, State Committeewoman and Member-at-Large for the Pennington GOP, a member of the South Dakota GOP Central Committee, the NFRW Campaign Committee, and the Legislative committee and Leadership Development Committee. Kading is a member of the SD Right to Life, and a member of the Concerned Women for America, a volunteer with Black Hills Works, a non-profit servicing people with disabilities, former 4-H leader and volunteered with the Angel Tree program on Rosebud Indian Reservation. She currently resides in Rapid City, SD with her husband Lynn, and is the mother of two grown children, Jade and David and Nanna to five grand treasures.
Marilyn Oakes has been active in SD GOP since 1989 when she and her husband Art Oakes signed up as Precinct workers. Since they she has held many positions with Custer County GOP, Republican Women of SD, and most lately as Region Six Representative to the state party. Her passion has been working on the State Platform.
Marilyn and Art built Buffalo Rock Lodge B and B in 1999 and it have run it ever since. Art passed in 2014, but Marilyn continues with the B and B and other real estate management.
Justin Bell is a native of Huron, where he graduated from Huron High School. He attended Indiana Wesleyan University. In college, he was highly involved in College Republicans in Indiana, both on his campus and on a state wide level. During his time in college, he was involved in various local, statewide, and national campaigns, including Mitch Daniels’ campaign to serve as the first republican governor of Indiana in 16 years and George W. Bush’s 2004 presidential campaign in Michigan. Justin went on to obtain his law degree from the University of South Dakota. While in law school, he also served as a high school debate coach for Vermillion High School.
Justin has been highly active Republican politics since his return to South Dakota. He currently serves as the Deputy Treasurer of the South Dakota Republican Party. He also serves as an assistant state advisor for Teen Age Republicans (TAR’s), is on the executive board of the Hughes County Republicans, and served as a South Dakota delegate to the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Bell has also spent countless hours volunteering for the Party and to elect both statewide and local candidates. For his efforts, he was awarded with the “Hughes County Republican of the Year” in 2012.
Justin currently resides in Pierre, where he has been engaged in practice of law since graduation from law school.
